The Election Board Secretary is appointed by the State Election Board and is the
chief administrative officer of the County Election Board. the County Election
Board has direct responsibility for all the ballots used in all elections within
the County. The Board also conducts the elections in the County.
To finance the operating expenses of the County Election Board, the County
Excise Board must appropriate sufficient funds annually. State and County split
the election costs, but Counties must pay for any County elections not held
concurrently with State elections. |
